Melania Trump shrugs off Fox interview STORM in £1,000 coat for children's hospital visit
Melania Trump was all smiles as she visited children at the Children’s National Hospital in Washington DC yesterday. The 48-year-old’s outing saw her greet youngsters – as well as Father Christmas. During the event, Melania could also be seen reading a story book to onlookers. The US First Lady and former model, whose style is often admired from across the globe, opted for festive tones.
Her wool coat featured red and white stripes, and had an oversized fit.
The outfit, which is cut with the intention of it being worn very loose, featured a number of buttons down the centre.
It is thought that the coat was designed by Tomas Maier.
The designer’s coat – which is believed to be an exact match to Melania’s own outfit choice – usually sells for £955 on the website Net-A-Porter.
However, the website has dropped its price point, with the garment currently on sale for £478.
The mother-of-one teamed her outfit with a white midi dress, and red and white patterned heels.
The gown featured a high neckline, and was cut to just above her knees.
She let her sleek blonde locks fall in soft waves around her shoulders.
For her make-up, Melania chose smoky black eye-shadow and lashings of mascara.
She finished her elegant esthetic with a slick of pale pink lipstick.
Earlier this week, Melania was spotted stepping out in skintight leather trousers while visiting military families at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Virginia.
Opting for an all-black look, she teamed the outfit with a buttoned black jacket.
The garment had a peplum design, thanks to tapering at its waist.
She also sported a pair of chunky black leather boots.
The First Lady styled her locks in a sleek down ‘do.
During her day out, Melania could also be seen donning black leather gloves, as well as a pair of sunglasses.
