The members of New York design collective Vaquera (comprised of Patric DiCaprio, Bryn Taubensee, and Claire Sullivan) will soon participate in MoMA PS1’s Sunday Sessions performance series. Their idea? Stage a play! Titled Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead, the one-day-only performance is retelling of The Wizard of Oz, drawing on existing treatments of the story, including Wicked and the original novel.

“We were excited to do something new that would allow us to collaborate with a large group of non-fashion creatives. A free-form play seemed perfect,” the group told Vogue. “Our work is often about creating new narratives using archetypal characters, so we wanted to base our play on a very well known existing play like WickedWicked is already fan fiction, so to make a fashion fan fiction play about it seems like an exciting challenge.”

Vaquera followers will likely find this endeavor unsurprising (and fans should be downright delighted). DiCaprio, Taubensee, and Sullivan made a name for themselves with theatrical collections that are seemingly comprised of characters, rather than looks. Their take on iconic figures like Dorothy and her friends should be, if nothing else, a lot of fun.

Vaquera’s Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead will take place Sunday April 28, from 4-6 pm. Tickets, priced at $15, are available now.
