12. Shannon Was a Miss Teen USA Contestant
That’s right – Shannon was a contestant in the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2012, representing South Carolina. She’s also a working model for the Block Agency, a modeling company in Nashville, Tennessee. According to her info on their site, she’s 5’8” and wears a size two!
11. Brittany Isn’t a Southern Belle
Unlike many of the other cast members, Brittany isn’t from the south. In fact, she’s from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. When it comes to conflict, she’s a lot more direct. You won’t catch her saying anything like “bless your heart.” She’ll just say it like it is.

While it might seem as though Shannon was made for reality TV, she initially considered a career in politics, which is why she studied political science in college. She got her job as a Social Media Director when a mutual friend of hers and Kristin Cavallari’s told the Laguna Beach star about Shannon’s Instagram account, which she found to be clever and creative. She wrote a few captions for some of Uncommon James’ photos and Kristin loved what she did with it, so Shannon was hired!
